PROTOLINKS HISTORY

For more than 20 years PROTOLINK has been developing and manufacturing a comprehensive range of electronic and electromechanical products, all to exacting standards.

Our growing customer base includes some of the biggest names in the telecommunications industry, which include: BT, Marconi, Fujitsu, Ericsson, Alcatel, & O2

In recent years we have expanded our range of services to include electromechanical design and assembly of Military equipment, Automotive lighting, Security equipment, Energy saving, and Rail equipment, amongst others.

Following the boom in the late 1990's and subsequent decline in the Telecommunication's industry, Protolink has successfully diversified into other areas. We have not forgotten our roots however, and continue to play a vital role in Telecoms.

In addition to our traditional Power and DC distribution services, we can now offer Panel wiring for any industry. If necessary we can design and or assemble panels to military standards. Over the last few years we have built up a large range of specialist tools in this field.

Having our own CNC Sheetmetal facilities has proved invaluable for making changes to pre production assemblies in a very short timescale.

THE FUTURE

It is impossible to know what the future holds, but clearly manufacturing will become more and more competitive, with greater pressure from cheap overseas labour rates. This situation is of course forever changing. Many of the countries previously considered ideal for cheap assembly, have now become uncompetitive as labour costs have soared.

We have always strived to offer a good friendly service, providing solutions, not problems. We believe that this is the right strategy for a good working relationship with our valued customers. Whatever else changes, our customer strategy won't!
