ELECTRONIC DESIGN

Virtually all of our products have been designed in house. These include Battery chargers, Inverters, Power supplies, Alarm units, Management systems, DC - DC Converters, Automotive lighting, etc.

We are now extending this unique facility to any business requiring subcontract electronic R&D. We can of course also cover your Electromechanical and Sheetmetal requirements.

Our Chief electronic design engineer Graham Arber, has been responsible for all of our new products since 2000. Graham has over 30 years experience in the industry and has worked for companies such as Marconi, Advance Power, Astec, and Minebea.

We will be pleased to assist at any level in design and development. If required we can produce a fully working prototype together with all relevant design documentation. A technical construction file will be produced (if required), which can be used to as part of the documentation for CE marking.

We can also assist with 3rd party agency approvals for safety to EN60950 and where relevant, conducted and radiated EMC measurements to European, and Global standards.

Our fully equipped workshop includes the following testgear and instruments:

• Agilient Technologies Megazoom storage oscilloscope.
• Various bench DC power supplies.
• Analogue programmable electronic loads.
• A range of equipment to measure AC and DC voltage and DC & rms AC current.
• Facilities to enable measurement of line conducted electromagnetic interference.
• Inductance, capacitance and resistance bridge.
• Voltek universal power analyser.
• Variable voltage AC source.
